Not only does this sail show us the exact shape of the femoral triangle, it also tells us what its boundaries are! Let’s see...It just so happens that:
S: stands for the Sartorius muscle which forms its lateral border
A: for the Adductor longus muscle which forms the medial border and
IL: for the Inguinal Ligament which forms its superior border
Who knew this little white sail could be so helpful!
